MIN 347 (M+F): Navigation: Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP)
Information on the use and availability of the IMO's Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP). This replaces the previously published Merchant Shipping Notice M.1252: Standard Marine Navigational Vocabulary (SMNV)

MGN 387 (M+F): Guidance on the Merchant Shipping and Fishing Vessels (Port Waste Reception Facilities) Regulations 2003 and amendments
Additional sewage requirements to those in the relevant existing UK Statutory Instruments. Also included is information on the introduction of an hourly fee for the issue of a Port Waste Exemption certificate, together with an explanation of the exemption process.

MGN 390(M): Construction Standards for Offshore Support Vessels and Other Special Ship Types
Guidance for the construction and operation of special ship types (e.g. offshore supply vessels) for which the provisions of SOLAS 1974/88, MARPOL 73/78 and ICLL 66/88, as implemented in United Kingdom legislation, may be inappropriate and from which they may therefore be partially exempted on the basis of compliance with various IMO resolutions.

MGN 394 (M+F): Local Supplier of Fuel Oil Registration
S.I. 2008/2924, The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Air Pollution from Ships) Regulations 2008, requires that local suppliers of fuel oil must register with the Secretary of State. Contact details for registering and making an annual declaration by the local supplier of fuel oil are provided.
