MGN 411 (M+F): Training and Certification Requirements for the Crew of Fishing Vessels and their Applicability to Small Commercial Vessels and Large Yachts
The UK requirements for the training and certification of the crew of fishing vessels, and covers the acceptance of Fishing Certificates of Competency on yachts.

MGN 413 (F): Voluntary Code of Practice for Employment of Non European Economic Area (EEA) Fishing Crew
Information to raise awareness to the voluntary Code of Practice produced by the Scottish Fishermen's Federation (SFF).

MIN 390 (M): Navigation Safety: Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) and Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) - early notification of changes arising out of amendments to SOLAS V/Reg 19
Information on the phased-in carriage requirements for Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) and Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS), as required by the amendments to SOLAS Chapter V which are expected to enter into force on 01 January 2011. The BNWAS requirements will apply to all charter yachts (new and existing) over 150GT.

Shipping Notice 03/2010: Notice of permit requirements for visits to Antarctic Waters
A summary of the process for applying for a permit to visit the Antarctic Treaty area, as required by the Antarctic Treaty 1959 and its Protocol on Environmental Protection 1991 for all vessels of all sizes performing certain activities, which includes Cayman Islands vessels visiting Antarctica.

Circular POL 010: Reports on alleged inadequate MARPOL port reception facilities
A standard proforma to be used for reporting deficiencies to the Flag Administration when the Master of a ship encounters inadequate or non-existent port reception facilities, in accordance with current IMO guidelines. The IMO’s version of this form, which is non flag-specific, can be downloaded here.
