Marine Notice 7-045-1: Demonstrating Compliance of Seafarer Recruitment and Placement Services The purpose of this Notice is to implement Regulation 1.4.3 of the Maritime Labour Convention 2006, which ensures seafarer access to efficient and well-regulated recruitment and placement systems in countries and territories that are not a party to the Convention.
Marine Notice 7-047-1: STCW Seafarer Certification and Training This Notice advises all relevant parties of the requirements concerning the STCW Convention, and of the requirement for seafarers on Marshall Islands flagged vessels to hold STCW certificates.
Marine Notice 7-049-1: Hazardous work and consideration of Health & Safety issues for seafarers under the age of 18 This Notice identifies and establishes restrictions on types of work considered hazardous to seafarers under the age of 18 because they present special risk of accident, may have a detrimental effect on a young seafarer’s health or physical development, or require a special degree of maturity, experience or skill.

Marine Guideline 7-044-1: Food handling, storage and preparation This Guideline provides general guidance on food handling, storage and preparation to ensure the health of all persons on board a vessel and addresses the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 requirements that foods meet minimum standards for quality and be prepared and served in hygienic conditions.
Marine Guideline 7-047-1: Guidance on medical exams and certificates for seafarers This Guideline details suggested practices for conducting physical examinations of seafarers prior to beginning work onboard a Marshall Islands ship, and periodically thereafter, to ensure that they are medically fit to perform their duties.
