This Marine Information Note provides guidance for ships at berth in UK ports seeking to comply with the requirements under Article 4b of the Sulphur Content of Liquid Fuels Directive, 1999/32/EC, as amended by 2005/33/EC of 6 July 2005 relating to the sulphur content of marine fuels. The Directive requirements came into effect on 1 Jan 2010.
