UNITED KINGDOM
MGN 395 (M+F) - Radio Log Book: Merchant shipping & fishing vessels
Advice on the need for the GMDSS Log Book and the Simplified Fishing Vessel GMDSS Log Book to comply with either Part II of the Merchant Shipping (Radio Installation) Regulations 1998, or Part III of the Merchant Shipping (Radio)(Fishing Vessel) Regulations 1999. Information is also provided on the revised GMDSS Radio Log Book and how to obtain copies of it.

MGN 396 (M) - Compatibility of life-saving equipment
Guidance on factors to consider when selecting lifejackets and immersion suits in terms of compatibility when worn together.

MGN 397 (M+F) - Guidelines for the provision of food and fresh water on merchant ships and fishing vessels
Practical advice on the provision of food and water for all merchant ships (including yachts) and fishing vessels. These Guidelines also take account of the relevant guidelines of the ILO Maritime Labour Convention 2006.

BERMUDA
Marine Notice ROSC.34 - Payment of accounts
As a result of the Department of Maritime Administration regularly not receiving invoice payments within the 30 day term allowed by the Bermuda Government, the DMA is requiring advance payment of all invoiced services other than tonnage and service fees.

Shipping Notice 03/2009 - Control of oil residues (sludge) and MARPOL Annex I
Guidance on dealing with oil residues onboard, provided as a result of two recent detentions of CI-registered vessels, one of which was a yacht.

Shipping Information Notice No. 023 – Long Range Identification Tracking (LRIT) system update
Information on the outcome of the recent debate on LRIT at meeting no. 86 of IMO's Marine Safety Committee, and provision of advice on the information to be carried onboard ships.

MARSHALL ISLANDS
Marine Notice 2-011-25 - Long Range Tracking and Identification of Ships
The information and guidance necessary to ensure timely compliance of Marshall Islands (MI) flag ships with the LRIT requirements from SOLAS Chapter V (Regulation 19-1). It can also be used to determine which ships are required to comply with the regulation.
